About Niklas
Living in Glumslöv, Niklas Yjord is a 45-year-old site manager who keeps himself grounded in ultrarunning. His transformation from a young military recruit to a seasoned runner is evidence of his never-ending quest for self-discovery.
Having competed in various Swedish races, Niklas also faced the challenging Mont Blanc Ultramarathon in 2023.This race is known for being among the hardest in the world. This tough 17-mile route winds through the highest peaks of the French Alps, with over 30,000 feet of ascent, tricky paths, and unpredictable high-alpine weather.
What motivates someone to tackle such a daunting challenge? For Niklas, it’s the belief that with the right mindset and unwavering determination, anyone can conquer ultrarunning. He has seen personally how remarkably adaptive humans can be when faced with obstacles and setbacks. His inspirational viewpoint is based on the belief that we are capable of far more than we think we are.
Niklas Yjord gillar att springa långt. Riktigt långt. Niklas arbetar som platschef och han håller sig I form genom sitt stora intresse ultrarunning. Niklas har sprungit flera svenska race. 2023 anmälda han sig till UTMB, ett 171 km långt race runt Mont Blanc med över 10 000 m I höjdskillnader. Niklas bor I Glumslöv och under sitt TEDxLandskrona samtaldelar han med sig av sin resa från ung militärrekryt till en erfaren löpare.
