WHAT IS
TED, TEDx, TEDxLandskrona?
TED is a global platform for individuals to explore and discuss a wide array of topics, fostering a spirit of curiosity, inspiration, and community engagement.
While TED/TEDx events encourage active listening, thoughtful reflection, meaningful dialogue, and inspiring action, they are also known for their diverse range of speakers, engaging presentations, and the sharing of ideas worth spreading.
Both TED and TEDx rely on the support of volunteers, sponsors, and community engagement to fulfil their vision of creating global platforms for sharing inspiring ideas and making the world a better place.
Our event, TEDxLandskrona, is an independently organized TEDx event. TEDxLandskrona brings together TEDTalks videos and live speakers to ignite profound discussions and foster meaningful connections within an intimate setting. While TED Conference offers overall guidance for the TEDx program, TEDxLandskrona is a self-organized event, curated by our dedicated team.
1984
First conference was held in February in Monterey, California
2009
The first TEDx license was issued. It was to TEDxUSC. The first global TEDx event took place in Tokyo.
2024
The first live event of TEDxLandskrona -- Sept 14 at the Landskrona Theater.
